From Ringsend to Tallaght: The Shamrock Rovers Players’ Stories’ tells the history of the most successful club in the 100-year history of the League of Ireland - all told through the words of the men who created that history.
This is the story of Shamrock Rovers told through interviews with 50 players who have worn the famous green and white hooped jersey down the decades from the 1930s to the present day.
Macdara Ferris has been following Shamrock Rovers since the final few seasons in Milltown. Since 2007 he has been writing for Hoops Scene, the Shamrock Rovers match day programme. He is the author with Karl Reilly of Tallaght Time: Shamrock Rovers 2009 - 2012. He has been a volunteer contributor to extratime.com since 2012, covering both League of Ireland and international matches for the Irish football website. He is the editor of The Arup Journal.
Eoghan Rice began following Shamrock Rovers in 1990. In 2005, he published We Are Rovers: An Oral History of Shamrock Rovers. He is also the author of Homicide, a true crime book published in 2006. He has worked as a journalist and columnist for outlets including The Sunday Tribune, the Irish Independent and Times Ireland.
