Red Line Book Festival 2024 - Callout for Comedian in Residence


The annual Red Line Book Festival will take place from 14th – 20th October 2024 and features local, national and international authors, as well as panels, workshops, theatrical productions, children’s events and more.


Applications are invited for a Comedian in Residence to support the delivery of the festival programme. The residency is supported by South Dublin Libraries and Arts. 


The purpose of this year’s residency is to develop local talent in the area of stand-up comedy writing


Writer in Residence Brief 

The Residency is open to writers working in the area of stand-up comedy writing and performance. The residency will involve a programme of public workshops which will culminate in a performance during the Red Line Book Festival on Thursday 17th October 2024. The successful applicant will MC and open this event. 


Objective of the residency

To create opportunities for the Comedian in Residence to: 

•      Mentor a group of adults to develop their stand-up comedy writing and performance skills.
